Note that the offline seminar is shifted to 5-11 June 2022. In 2021 we organize several online workshops.
The International Seminar "Quarks-2022" will take place from 5 to 11 June 2022 in the picturesque place near the ancient city Pereslavl-Zalessky, Russia, 2.5 hours of driving distance from Moscow. Accommodation of participants and conference meetings will be organized in the hotel Azimut Hotel Pereslavl. We plan to reserve time to visit the historic town of Rostov with a guided tour around its Kremlin and monuments.
"Quarks-2022" is the 22nd in the series of seminars taking place biennially since 1980 in various historical and cultural places of Russia. The previous seminar, "Quarks-2018", was held in Valday, its proceedings are now available in EPJ WoC.
This year the Seminar is co-organized by the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Dolgoprudny) and Azimut Hotel Pereslavl.
Despite the Seminar's traditional name, the program of "Quarks-2020" is fairly broad. It includes plenary sessions, section meetings and informal discussions on:
- physics beyond the Standard Model;
- neutrino physics;
- quantum chromodynamics, strong interactions;
- heavy ion collisions;
- cosmology and astroparticle physics;
- gravity and its modifications;
- aspects of mathematical physics;
- selected experimental results.
We expect about 300 physicists to participate in the Seminar.
A bus transfer will be organized from Moscow to the site of the conference. Besides, the conference hotel can be reached by a taxi directly from Sheremet'evo or Domodedovo airports.
Generally, we will be unable to take care of travel and local expenses of the participants. However, we will apply for funds and hope to cover local expenses to a limited number of people. Besides, due to MIPT support this year we will not charge the full-time MIPT staff, its undergraduate and graduate students with organization fee. More information is available via e-mail.
Due to increased risk of fraud we notify participants that no third parties are involved in communication with them, while the Organizing Committee uses only two official emails.
